JACKSONVILLE, FL — The FBI’s Pre-Crime Unit has arrested Tom Anderton, a 26-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, for the future terrorist bombing of the White House. Collecting data from Anderton’s internet history, the crime prediction AI concluded that in nine years he would bomb the White House in an attempt to assassinate the President of the United States and overthrow the democratically-elected government.
Anderton affirms his innocence, claiming he has no plans or desire to commit violence of any kind. He says he supports the current President. The suspect’s lawyers published his online data in an attempt to exonerate their client and prove that he was not planning any acts of terror. The data purports to show Anderton has no knowledge of how to make or acquire bombs and has not even researched how to do so.
However, data analysts and pre-crime experts point to the recent uptick in right-wing anti-cyborg videos Anderton had been watching online. If left unchecked, he would have inevitably been led down a rabbit hole of radicalization, becoming more and more extreme in his political views until he turned into a far-right fascist human-supremacist domestic terrorist in approximately 3.5 years.
Anderton stated, “I don't want to hurt anyone, and I don't hate cyborgs—my own sister has a Neuralink. I just don’t want me or my kids to be forced to get a brain implant.” He also claims he is not a fascist and just wants “smaller government and lower taxes.” However, pre-crime data suggests that is what all would-be fascist anti-government domestic terrorists say at first. Furthermore, private text messages sent to Anderton's sister reveal that he promoted dangerous conspiracy theories calling BCIs a “government mind control program”—an absurd notion that has been debunked by government BCI experts.
The FBI’s pre-crime AI predicts the suspect’s preferred presidential candidate will lose in 2052 to a Neuralink user, spurring him to plan the anti-cyborg terrorist attack. His arrest will save an estimated 254.7 lives. Anderton is currently being held in Guantanamo Bay without bail as he awaits his surgery to receive a BCI implant so he can begin his cyborg sensitivity training simulations in VR.
